Bill and Marilyn were high school sweethearts. They got married the day after graduation. Now that Bill’s dad had passed on, they own the hardware store on Main Street. Bill “lets” Marilyn work there but everyone knows he’d be lost without her. Every Sunday they have a beach day at the lake. There’s a wide sandy beach there and they lay out their towels and their picnic basket and spend the whole day laughing and goofing off. On the way home, they stop at Red’s Roadside for fried chicken. That’s their Sunday tradition.
